About
Alicia Henry
Alicia has worked in a variety of clinical settings including 10+ years at top US hospitals like New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell and University of Colorado Medicine. Her background includes many years as a hospital medical social worker where she collaborated with doctors, nurses, and other professionals on medically and psychosocially complex cases. She has supported patients and families through medical crises and end-of-life care, as well as completed psychosocial evaluations for patients in need of an organ transplant. These experiences not only taught her how to comprehensively evaluate clients, but also how to meet people with empathy in their most raw, vulnerable moments.
Alicia's post graduate training is vast with concentration in the areas of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions, compulsions, chronic illness, grief and trauma. Alicia draws on a wide range of therapeutic modalities to tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Alicia is also a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer, Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Additionally, Alicia's background as a Division I Collegiate Track & Field athlete has made her particularly interested in the relationship between our minds and bodies. Alicia truly enjoys sharing the wealth of knowledge and skills she has learned from coaches, trainers and nutrition experts over the past 20+ years to help individuals optimize their health and fitness goals.

In Alicia's words:
"At my core, I believe that even the hardest and most painful experiences can create opportunities for growth. Having had both positive and not-so-great experiences with therapy myself, I understand how important it is to feel safe, understood, and supported. That’s why I strive to build a foundation of trust and collaboration with my clients, and I especially enjoy working with those who are motivated for change and personal growth."
